Appleton, WI has been a blessing for BUMP.  We’ve built up a really cool fanbase out here and we’re gonna keep returning.  Fueled by the support of one Appleton’s favorite musicians Craig Welch and his band Ifdakar, we really had a HUGE turnout last night.  Playing outside in between two buildings it almsot reminded us of a smaller CityFest.  Lot’s more unbelievable shows to come on this summer tour.

I’m giving a big shout out to Brad, the owner and promoter for the Thirsty Hippo in Hattiesburg, MS.  Brad’s reputation was proven as a phenomonal music promoter brining out a slew of music lovers from the Hattiesburg area out on a Tuesday.  We played there last night with NOMO from Ann Arbor to a packed house.  Not only did we make a lot of new fans but we had a hell of a good time with NOMO, who put on a legendary set of music themselves.  We’re on our way to Oxford, MS gearing up for a week in Florida!  I saw the poster for the DMA’s and it looks sweet.  I never thought while watching old Ted Nugent videos on Classic VH1 in college that I would be playing with him, let alone his original Detroit band The Amboy Dukes!  WTF!  Two and a half months on the road has been rewarding and exhausting and I’m definitely looking forward to playing the Fillmore because it’s always been my dream to play on that stage!  We’ll see you in the south!    

 For the past three years BUMP has set up tours revolving around the SXSW music festival in Austin, TX.  The first year we got there was insane!  It’s really hilarious when a city gets taken over by thousands of rock bands from across the world.  I actually feel normal and somewhat conservative in my deep V and torn jeans.  There’s also an overwhelming feeling that the festival dictates which way the music industry will head that year.  Everyone in the industry is there and anything could happen.  Let’s fucking do this!!!!!!  

Mangy Moose Lodge

I want to give a big shout out to the Mangy Moose in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We played three HUGE shows there starting on Saturday night of last week and they were phenomenal. If you look out the side of the windows while you play you will see skiers gliding down the mountain directly to the back door of the Mangy Moose. I though I was in "Hot Dog the Movie!" We played to a crowd of 500+ people during our Sunday day show from 4pm-6pm. The crowd was filled with skiers who were just finishing up their day. We brought our Detroit swagger to the stage and ripped through some of our most rocking tunes including some highlights from our new album "FORWARD." A big shout out goes to everyone from Marquette, Michigan who attended the show, some of these people hadn’t seen us play for 3 years. After we were done there it was straight off to Laramie, Wyoming for a Mardi Gras party at THE LIBRARY. Touring during a recession is damn better than being unemployed during a recession. Keep the dream alive and RAWLK AWLN!!!!!
